How do I schedule an Office Visit?

If you know your insurance requires a referral from your primary care physician, please contact your primary care physician and request it from them. They can fax us the referral directly to: (925) 275-9823. We require a referral in order to schedule all procedures.

Bring your referral from your primary care physician, your insurance card, a list of medications you are taking, copies of test, lab, or x-ray results that may be relevant to your symptoms, your copayment, and your completed Patient Information form and Health Questionnaire.

How do I get my test results?
Results are usually not available for up to 14 business days after the test is performed. Please contact our office at (925) 275-9966. Your physician will call you back. Alternatively, you can call the Receptionist by pressing 5 to make an appointment, or leave a message for your physician to contact you with your results a couple of weeks after your procedure.
Who may I call if I have a question about my bill?
You can contact our Billing Department by calling (925) 275-9966.
May I be billed for my copayment?
Your insurance carrier requires that you pay your copayment at the time of service. We accept Check, Cash, VISA, MasterCard, or Debit card. (Please note that there is a $45.00 service charge on all returned checks.)
How do I get my medication refills?
Call your pharmacy to request a renewal of your prescription. They will contact us to renew your prescription. We may request that you come in to see your physician. Please request your refill at least 3 business days before your prescription runs out. More insurance companies are requiring pre-authorization of medications so please allow us adequate time to receive approval for your renewals. If you have any questions regarding medication instructions, please contact the office at (925) 275-9966.
Who should I contact if I have a questions about my medications before my procedure?
Contact your pharmacist if you have any questions about the blood-thinning properties of your medication.
How can I obtain a copy of my medical records?
Complete the Authorization for Release of Information. Tri Valley Gastroenterology charges a minimum of $50.00 to copy medical records.

Our office hours are by appointment only. For your convenience, our automated service confirms all appointments 2 business days in advance. After hours, you may leave a message in our general office mailbox, or reach a physician on call for medical emergencies.
If you find that you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please call our office at (925) 275-9966 to reschedule. Your advance notfication allows other patients the opportunity to receive care.
If you have not received your new patient registration package, please arrive 15 mintues prior to your sheduled appointment.

From Pleasanton: Take 680 North and exit at the Bollinger Canyon Exit. Make a right on Bollinger
Canyon Road and proceed .8 miles. Make a left at Alcosta Blvd. and proceed .9 miles. Make a right on
Norris Canyon Road and follow the signs for Physician Offices. The medical office buildings are
numbered with the street addresses. Look for 5801 in the very back of the complex, behind the 5601 building. Our office is located on the 2nd floor in Suite 230.
